No
Time Tonight
There's no time tonight; I'm so lost without you
Trying too hard to forget everything about you
The harder I try the more I remember
the love we had and thought never would surrender
I know people and places change all the time
but nowhere near the way you change your mind
A change for the better would ease so much sorrow
There's no time tonight, but maybe tomorrow
Keeping the mind busy is my only escape
Making it hard to forgive the things I forsake
Held to the road; Not allowed to think
Shot to hell every time I put it in ink
It worked for the longest, but then broke down
Now struggling to change things and make you feel like the clown
It may never be different; There might be a way
There's no time tonight, but maybe someday
Confusion and hatred from one to another
All but forgotten what once held us together
Neither love nor lust can save a bond
if those involved ignore what's going on
Time heals a broken heart; Stitches heal a cut
Healing stupidity requires opening what's shut
Look to the past and correct the wrong
There's no time tonight, but the future is long
Only
Me
Your better than this
Deserve much more
Given the gifts
that they can afford
The intentions are there
but not always real
They spend the money
but don't really feel
The things they do
to win your heart
These are the things
that set us apart
They're being fake
to get their way
Not really meaning
the words they say
You deserve much more
than what you've got
You deserve the Sun
while its burning hot
The sky should be yours
to do what you will
And the birds in the sky
should always hold still
The wind and rain
should stay by your side
Only to come out
whenever you decide
You deserve it all
even the flowers and trees
Its a shame
the only gift I can give is me
