Early 3 a.m.
Don't know who I am
Only a lonely quarter spot
in the shiny vendor slot
Caffiene flowing
Always showing
Coursing blue veins
No more change
I think I'm going to cry
Very merry 'twas I today
to spy a fairy out to play,
to sit enchanted with listless gaze,
and be a part of a fairy-day.
Fairy here and fairy yonder,
do they see me and do they wonder?
Nay! they do know, and do not quit,
that behind a tree I do sit.
Faring closer ever closer,
Fairies fairing forth.
Lovelier ever lovelier,
Oh! to know a fairy's worth.
Very sad 'twas I today
to see the fairies go away,
to sit and wonder in amaze,
will they think of me on their fairy-ways?
I stand and slowly head for home,
and cherish the time we spent alone.
And as at last I close the door
I glimpse a fairy off to play some more.
